What did you do last weekend?

-On Friday night we went out for dinner to celebrate our friend's birthday. We went to a nice Mexican restaurant and then to the little bar next door. Came home really late.

-Saturday was a lazy day. We slept in. Went out for lunch. Went for a long walk with the dog. Came back home and took a nap. Thank God we remembered to feed the dog. Read a book. Watched TV on the couch. Went out for dinner. Stayed up late sipping some wine and talking. Went to bed really late.

-On Sunday we slept in again. Went for a romantic, relaxing walk (the dog was there too). Took off my shoes and quietly sat on the grass to meditate. Went for a nice drive. That's it for Sunday.

We are childfree.

Tom and I joined another couple at their cottage last weekend. Left a bunch of dry food and fresh water out for the cats. Litter box wasn't too bad when we got back, late Sunday night. Have boat-loads of laundry catching up to do, but all the fish we caught and splashing around in the water was worth it!

We're childfree and they have responsible teenagers who are busy with their own friends.

This weekend I baked chocolate chip cookies for just the two of us, and we're still nibbling on them. We slept in both days. We went to the gym when it suited us. We went out to a nice leisurely dinner, and to a movie. It was a very pleasant time:)

I spent last weekend in Vegas with several other childfree friends. I think that's all I need to say about that!

Played early morning squash, watched the World Cup, blogged about the World Cup, went out to dinner, went clothes shopping, bought my summer stuff (Well those shoes were just calling to me!) lounged in the beautiful weather and watched the world go by.

And how about the Canada Day long weekend? I'll be checking out the shopping and jazz festival in Montreal!

I've been going on looooong drives of a weekend. I sleep in first, of course. Then pick up the papers.

It ends up being a day of sightseeing punctuated by food and coffee stops. Usually I'm driving back over the ranges in the dark.

Couldn't do that with a rugrat in tow, could I?

NomadShan - So, when are we going to see that brand on the LCBO(Canada) / grocery store shelves (U.S.)? Wow, thanks for putting in the time to research your material!

ChrisR - Ah, they have ranges in Australia! I wonder what sights you've seen. I have always wanted to go Down Under. The closest I've been is Tahiti.

Isabel - Your second post is a lot of fun. Thanks for this contribution to our small but growing online community.

Teri,
You'd probably love where I am - reef, ranges, rainforest, waterfalls, dairying country, the works. And it's all a couple of hours drive in any direction (except east, you'd get a bit wet!)
